Improved 3D localization algorithm for large scale wireless sensor networks

Abstract As localization represents the main core of various wireless sensor network applications, several algorithms have been suggested in research. In this article, we put forward an iterative bounding box algorithm enhanced by a Kalman filter to refine unknown node’s estimated position. fact, research efforts are currently progress extend 2D positioning WSNs 3D that reflects reality and most practical applications. Subsequently, replace large number GPS-equipped anchors with single mobile anchor. our studies, consider type range-free exploiting sensors connectivity. We assess performance using exhaustive experiments on isotropic anisotropic topologies. Our proposed can fulfill joint goals transparency accuracy for scenarios evaluating parameters such as whilst changing other simulation effect communication range, anchor node position deployment topology. It has proven results effectively reduces location error without requiring more equipment or increasing cost.
